This is an FTDI FT230X version of the LIRC USB IR Emitter. This product uses the FTDI device in fifo mode to create an IR signal. See this blog post for more info. Note, you must use lirc or fully implement the IR protocol and send indivual modulated bits to the device. For a simpler solution of sending just hex codes please see our microprocessor based IR emitter.
