A local group came to us with a problem: They got permission to setup a giant menorah as a holiday display, but the location didn't have power. The group knew we provided creative event technology solutions and wanted to know if we could help.
Of course there were a few other challenges:
- Almost no budget, eliminating the use of large scale solar cells, batteries, inverters, etc.
- No noise allowed, eliminating the use of generators
- No maintenance allowed, they couldn't have someone change/charge equipment, etc.
Our solution:
- Use our low volume 3D printing service to create an adapter to place a solar garden light on top of the bulb socket. This allowed for simple path solar lights which were available on amazon for $6 each to be used in place of the standard bulbs.
